JOICHIRO Sex: Male Nishi deserves an award for being the most unlikely person to make it onto this list. He killed a cat for fun. That's automatic blacklist from me, and indeed I cheered when he died a slow, painful, and bloody death. But now he's back, and while he's as mean as ever, it appears his death wiped his slate clean. He also developed a character dimension that I can sympathize with, and I've come to appreciate his harsh cynicism. This climaxed in chapters 287-290. |

MASARU KATOU Sex: Male One of the few genuinely nice, decent guys in Gantz, Katou is a valiant team leader. He does not allow the horrors of war to cloud his sense of morality. He's also a kind of, err... militant pacifist. He doesn't really want to fight, but if you give him a reason to, he'll force himself to flip out and go berserk on you. |

YOUZEN Sex: Male Youzen is a Youkai Prince! He is a master shapeshifter who can not only take on another's form, but also their abilities. He normally puts on the guise of a beautiful human with long blue hair to hide his Youkai heritage from his friends, and is cutely narcissistic about it. That's not to say that his Youkai form isn't equally hot! Other than that, Youzen is smart, level-headed and, and loyal to those who have earned his friendship. He is one of the most powerful immortals and later becomes the headmaster of Kongrong. |

SOMA Sex: Male Prince Soma is a spoiled, whiny, and utterly useless little brat with no fighting ability whatsoever. Thankfully he has a very skilled butler named Agni to take care of him, in whom Soma inspires a level of devotion better described as worship. Soma has major entitlement issues and is often completely oblivious to the difference between people's love and obligation, but he's eager to mature and learn the ways of the world. I like him because he just has these mannerisms that everybody finds annoying but I think are cute... from a distance. ^^;; |
