Wise One

The Wise One is part of a series of pictures I made of the Archetypal Triple Goddess. She was modeled after Shiva and Kali-Ma and has a waning cresent moon inscribed on Her brow. She dances on a primeval chaos dragon, channeling the forces of lightning to do Her will as a testimony of Her awesome power. She wears tattered clothing dyed with blood for She embodies the powers of destruction and death. But though Her visage may seem fearful, one must remember that She is also the keeper of wisdom, justice, and the highest mysteries, for She dances the dance of renewal and rebirth from the old. This is drawn in markers and pencil.
